Help us prevent COVID-19 spread.
At Alert Level 2, our appointments are operating as normal, but to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we require your help and cooperation.
As Registered Nurses, we are all adhering to the COVID-19 infection control policies.
Please read all information below:
No walk-in appointments.
-If, in any way, you may have been exposed to COVID-19.
-If you or someone else you have had close or casual contact with have symptoms of COVID-19 (regardless of whether you have been overseas or not).
Your ears can wait, and we will see you when you are healthy.
Symptoms of COVID-19 are:
- Dry cough
- Shortness of breath
- Loss of taste and/or smell
- Flu-like symptoms
If you have symptoms of COVID-19, please call the Healthline ASAP on 0800 358 5453.
Could your blocked ears be a result of sinus issues from being unwell? Please read our sinus relief guide. These steps should help with relief if you are unwell and staying home. We are very happy for you to call us on 03 384 4668 for ear advice instead of coming into the clinic.
COME ON YOUR OWN
Please come to your appointment on your own, or only with a required caregiver. We would appreciate if you could organise your appointment for a time when this is possible.
BE EXACTLY ON TIME
Only come into our waiting room from the car park at the exact time of your appointment. This is to reduce the need for our waiting room to be in use. We may lock our doors if required, but please follow the guidance of our receptionist or nurse.
We have QR codes to scan with the NZ COVID Tracer app at our Ferrymead & Rangiora clinics, and encourage their use. As our other clinics are within the premises of other businesses, we encourage you to follow their protocols and use their QR codes.
Please keep your distance from others inside our waiting room.
We have face masks available for your use during treatment if required. Our nurses will give you advice on how to wear these correctly. If you have your own reusable mask, we welcome you to come wearing this.
We have hand sanitiser at the door – please use this when you come into the clinic.
If you have your own, please use it before you come into the waiting room.
- Keep at least 2m distance from others.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Sneeze or cough into your elbow or a tissue.
- Put used tissues straight into a plastic bag or bin.
- Use hand sanitiser regularly.
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and hot water for over 20 seconds, and dry your hands thoroughly.
- Stay away from others if you feel unwell.
- Be considerate and respectful of people around you.
Thank you for your help and we appreciate your cooperation. If you need to postpone an appointment, please call 03 384 4668 and let us know. We are also happy to give you ear advice over the phone if required.
